The Finance Ministry issued a Notification on 31.07.2024 whereby the Government formed nationwide GST Appellate Tribunals (GSTAT). Vide this Notification, the Govt. has formed principal bench of GSTAT at New Delhi and formed 30 benches in various states as per the details hereinafter.
- The benches of each State / Union Territory are as follows :-
- at Vijayawada for Andhra Pradesh,
- at Patna for Bihar,
- at Raipur for Chhattisgarh,
- at Ahmedabad for Gujarat,
- at Surat for Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu,
- at Gurugram for Haryana,
- at Shimla for Himachal Pradesh,
- at Jammu for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh,
- at Ranchi for Jharkhand,
- at Bengaluru for Karnataka
- at Ernakulam for Kerala & Lakshadweep,
- at Bhopal for Madhya Pradesh,
- at Mumbai, Pune & Nagpur for Goa & Maharashtra,
- at Cuttack for Odisha,
- at Jalandhar for Punjab & Chandigarh,
- at Jaipur & Jodhpur for Rajasthan,
- at Chennai & Madurai for Tamil Nadu & Puducherry
- at Hyderabad for Telangana,
- at Lucknow, Varanasi & Ghaziabad for Uttar Pradesh
- at Dehradun for Uttarakhand,
- at Kolkata for Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Sikkim and West Bengal
- at Guwahati for 7 North Eastern States (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura.
